Our Lead Pastor casts vision for the church. When possible, Pastor Peter meets with members for pastoral counseling and conversation. Usually, though, his focus is with the direction, vision, and mission of New Community. Our Associate Pastor works with all ministry teams, their leaders, and key volunteers. Pastor Michael provides pastoral counseling for our congregation and works with leaders to provide classes and learning opportunities in the church. Our Pastor of Community Life focuses on engaging in honest and authentic community, primarily, but not exclusively, in our community groups’ ministry. Pastor Stephen facilitates several groups, locates and recruits new leaders, and equips and develops existing small group leaders. - Angela Zirk, Church Administrator | Angela's Email
Our Church Administrator ensures that the fine details associated with the church’s work are attended to. Angela handles all office-related concerns, including the church calendar and scheduling, communication from the pastors to the congregation, bulletin and website information, and phone and email contacts. - Libby Anthrayose, Warming Center Director | Libby's Email
Our Warming Center Director plans for, manages, and operates the Center. From opening to close, she maintains a safe, responsible, and non-threatening environment for homeless people in Logan Square. Libby works with a pool of committed volunteers to meet practical and spiritual needs of the men and women who find their main connection to New Community through this outreach ministry. - Darlene R. Our Children's Ministry Pastor plans for and leads our ministry to children and their families. Pastor Darlene works with a committed core of team members to lead children in worship, and ensure the safe nurture of children as they get their first impressions of God. She works with parents and team members to shape a culture at New Community where children and families are continually valued.
