Ministry at New Community

Getting involved in a ministry at New Community is one of the best ways for you to get connected to others in our church, use your God-given gifts, and build God's kingdom. Every ministry of our church has been formed with the intention of living out our mission:

We seek to be a "city within a city" (an alternate Chicago) that passionately loves Jesus CHRIST, intentionally engages in authentic COMMUNITY, radically advances the CAUSE of Jesus.

New Community exists to:

  • Connect people to God (CHRIST)
  • Connect people to God's people (COMMUNITY)
  • Connect people to God's purposes (CAUSE)

Everything we do at New Community, every service we have or event we plan, is with this mission in mind.

You will also find links to all of New Community's Ministry Team pages so you can read more about the particular ministries that interest you.

The information below illustrates a diverse array of opportunities for you to get involved in our church. Each of the Ministry Teams listed has a page that you can link to in order to learn more about that ministry and how to contact the Ministry Team Leader. Each of these teams is continually looking for dedicated and reliable volunteers.

You will also find a list of "Current Volunteer Needs" below. This section is periodically updated to reflect the most pressing needs and opportunities available for serving in our church. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please submit the form and you will be contacted by the appropriate Ministry Team Leader. You may also contact the church office directly by emailing office@thenewcom.com.

If you aren't sure what you spiritual gifts are, there are classes throughout the year which are designed to help you figure them out. But you can still get involved! After all, nothing shows us what gifts we have like experience. Learn your gifts while you serve.
