Mission of the Ministry:

As a smaller community, we seek to warmly greet, usher, and resource the greater
community of New Community Covenant Church.

Greet, Usher, Resource (GUR)

Greet: Warmly welcome those to our church.
Usher: Warmly invite congregants into the sanctuary.
Resource: Invite, equip, and answer questions of those within our church.

How can I get involved?

If you love meeting people, connecting people, and serving God by serving others, we would love to have you join our team. We need people who don’t mind being extroverted, who can strike up conversations with those in the church, and offer warm welcomes to individuals.

Our greeters roam the church before, during, and after the service offering warm welcomes to congregants. Often this includes answering questions, pointing people to entrances or washrooms, and connecting them with other individuals in the church. Our ushers show congregants to their seats, maintain crowd control, pass out bulletins and pass the offering plate.

We ask the following of our team:

  • Arrive at 9:10am to set up.
  • Pray
  • Greet until approximately 10:20am.
  • Help tear down the supplies after each service.
  • Serve 1-2 times a month.
  • Attend any information/business meetings.
  • Attend
