Guide to Electronic Tithing using eGive

  • Log on to www.egive-usa.com
    • a. If you do not already have an account, log on to https://www.egive-usa.com/account/signup/ and follow the registration process. For the recipient organization, search for “New Community Covenant Church.”
    • b. If you already have an account established (from the “Imagine” capital campaign), enter your username & password under “Givers.”
  • Click on “Make a gift” (tabs are at the top of the page) & follow STEPS 1 through 3.
  • STEP 4 is where you specify the amount, frequency, and breakdown of your tithe. There are 5 categories. Please DO NOT OVERRIDE/REPLACE these categories. The 5 categories are:
    • i. General Offering – Logan Square
    • ii. General Offering – Bronzeville
    • iii. LS Building Fund (IMAGINE capital campaign)
    • iv. Warming Center
    • v. Benevolence Fund
  • DO NOT use the 6th category. A couple of things to note:
    • a. If you do not specify a category, it will be assumed that all the funds are being contributed to the IMAGINE capital campaign only.
    • b. If you would like to designate your contribution for some purpose other than the categories listed above, it is best you write out a check and place it in the offering basket during the service. Note the purpose on the memo line.
