COMMUNITY GROUPS

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Community Groups are an important part of plugging-in at NC3 – they provide a place where the people of New Community meet to build intimate relationships, get practical help, and to get intense spiritual interaction.

The community groups at New Community meet three or four times a month on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. NC3 community groups meet in homes across Chicago, have lay leaders, and typically have between 10 and 12 core members.

NC3 respects and values the intimacy and trust established in a community group setting. We also try to limit the size of community groups to a reasonable number of core members. As such, NC3 community groups aren't always "open" for new members. Some community groups accept new members at the leader's discretion and new groups are formed as needed to meet demand.

In addition to traditional community groups, NC3 offers DISICIPLE every fall, usually beginning in August or September. DISCIPLE in an intensive, 34-week study of God's Word from beginning to end. DISCIPLE's limited class size and structured learning environment guarantees a better understanding of biblical context, a stronger grounding in God's chosen means of communication, and a life-changing experience!

For more information on community groups or DISCIPLE, contact Angela Zirk at the Office Email or 773.463.6222. If you would like to check on the status of new groups or see if there are any open groups, please include the following information in your e-mail:
